Meet Bethany 🍽️

Hi there! I’m Bethany Delish—most people just call me Beth—and I’m a baker, dessert whisperer, and lover of all things warm, gooey, and golden from the oven. I live in sunny Santa Rosa, California, where the scent of cinnamon and brown butter often wafts from my kitchen windows and tempts the neighborhood joggers. I’m 42, and yes, I’ve been known to hand out warm banana bread slices to the UPS driver when he catches me in the middle of a bake.

Baking, for me, isn’t about perfection. It’s about nourishment, joy, and yes—sometimes survival. I started out just like many of you: overworked, overtired, trying to make my kids’ birthdays feel special without completely losing my mind. I remember frantically Googling “easy chocolate cake from scratch” with one hand while wrangling a toddler with the other. That cake turned out lopsided, a little too sweet, and utterly loved. That’s when it clicked—desserts aren’t just about taste. They’re memories in the making.

Over the years, I’ve turned my trial-and-error baking journey into something I can share. My recipes are built for real life. That means no fancy equipment you have to special order, no confusing steps, and no shame if your frosting looks a little wonky. I give you clear instructions, smart shortcuts, and tips I’ve learned the hard way (like how to never, ever underestimate the power of room temperature butter).

I love showing busy folks—especially parents and professionals juggling a hundred things—that baking doesn’t have to be stressful. Whether it’s soft cinnamon rolls for a Sunday morning treat or a simple lemon loaf you can slice for school lunches, my goal is to help you feel confident and calm in the kitchen. You don’t need to be a pastry chef to make something wonderful.

I’m also a sucker for community. Nothing makes me happier than seeing someone tag me in a photo of their very first sourdough or letting me know their kiddo requested “Beth’s brownies” for their birthday. That connection, that ripple of joy—it’s why I do this.

So if you’ve ever looked at a recipe and thought, “There’s no way I can pull that off,” I’m here to tell you: you absolutely can. And I’ll be cheering you on, spatula in hand.

Let’s make dessert something you actually look forward to.

Love,
Beth 🍰
