Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground nutmeg
¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 (15-oz) can pumpkin puree
Streusel Topping:
½ cup chopped walnuts
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease and flour two 8×4-inch loaf pans.
- Mix dry ingredients: flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Beat in pumpkin puree.
- Fold in dry ingredients until combined. Divide batter evenly into pans.
- Mix walnuts, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon for the streusel. Sprinkle on top of batter.
- Bake 65–75 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in pans 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
Notes
Wrap cooled loaves tightly for up to 3 days at room temp or 1 week refrigerated.
Freeze loaves or slices for up to 3 months.
